Final Bugaksan Trail Behind Former Presidential Office Opens October 17

The last restricted sector of Mount Bugak directly behind the former Blue House presidential compound (Cheong Wa Dae) will open to the public on October 17 at 9:00 a.m. This 1.32-kilometer trail had remained off-limits to civilians for 59 years following a 1968 armed infiltration raid. The new hiking course features safety barriers, closed-circuit cameras, and patrol support, offering 24-hour open access.
