Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival (진주남강유등축제)
This festival commemorates lanterns originally used as military signals during the 1592 Jinjuseong fortress battle of the Imjin War. The event illuminates Jinju with 165 lantern installations floating along the Namgang River and around 1,200 land lanterns around Jinjuseong fortress. Visitors can enjoy illuminated historical displays, water fireworks, and large-scale drone light shows.
