Thirty-Eight Injured After Ceiling Finishes Collapse in Daegu Commercial Building

A large portion of second-floor ceiling plaster and interior materials collapsed Saturday morning inside a commercial building in Buk-gu, Daegu, where a senior promotional sales event was underway. All 66 occupants fled the venue, and 38 people sustained minor injuries, with nine hospitalized for abrasions. Police have established a dedicated task force alongside the National Forensic Service to inspect structural violations in the 32-year-old facility.
