Early Morning Metro Commuters Save 20 Percent on Base Fares

Passengers tapping into Seoul and metropolitan subway networks before 6:30 AM receive an automatic 20 percent early-bird fare discount. With the discount applied, the adult transit card fare is reduced to 1,240 KRW from the standard 1,550 KRW rate. The discount applies exclusively to the first transit boarding of the day paid with a rechargeable smart card.
